How To Completely Get Rid of Facebook Connect?
Do not want.
I don't even want to see it in my templates. I disabled it in AdminCP Options though. |

Why not?
You can try a Search in Templates for "facebook" or, more likely just, "fb" to find any reference to facebook connect. |

Because it doesn't work. Also when I applied for my API code, they never sent it. I've tried several times.

What I'm saying is why remove it from the templates if you have it turned off?
And, you don't apply for API codes. You should follow the instructions in the manual - Enabling Facebook |

The problem may be in your server settings (e.g. CurlSSL or OpenSSL not enabled)... or if the situation is good... the URL in the facebook app canvas field may be wrong... end the forum's URL.
