how rename posting buttons

i will like to know how i can rename :
newthread ,newreply and quote button .

i try by edit templates and rename newthread.php and newreply.php and templates i could find those words .

but then quote stop working and i cant find a way to fix it to work with new names.

sorry for bad English trying my best to explain .

They are all phrases. Do a Search in Phrases for them (probably with Exact Match set to yes)

i got reply and new thread working was in templates and need it to rename newreply.php and newthread.php.

then i look in Phrases for Quote but i cant find where to make it use newreply name.

Quote? You mean the button on the bottom of posts? Those are images, so you need to change the image.

no i mean
i change newreply.php file to responder.php and i change templates to make it work and work fine.
but when you click in quote that is my only problem don't work and i search in Phrases but don't see there where to change quote to make it work with responder.php.

usually when you click in quote still use newreply.php and when i change name now don't work .

You should have left all the template and php names as they were, all you need was a new set of images (buttons) with your custome names on them, for instance, i still use all the standard php and template names but my "New Thread" button reads "New Topic"...etc

there is a idea behind this sorry .
i lower % of automate spam poster in my forum and i really think with this those little that pass register check images will have trouble posting unless they go to forum and post manually .

and i know there is few hacks but trying to do something diferent .

If you are running 3.8.x then just use human verification Question and Answer, this way no automated bot can register, you will never stop human spammers registering.

Besides if you chnage those template names...etc you will always have a nightmare upgrading or adding security patches and will NOT be able to get professional vBulletin help if you really need it!

Do yourself a favour and look atall your other options

If you wanted to change all instances of newreply.php to responder.php (I thought you were just talking about the phrases on the page), then just use Replacement Variables. I would think those would work fine for this.

wrote a plugin(helped by a friend) to replaces newthread.php and newreply with name of the files i want now all work the way i want .
