I Havnt seen anything that can enable me to do this or found an option if its already there, but does anyone know of a hack/modification that would PM my members when they trigger a promotion?

For example, a PM to say congrats when a member gets 500 posts and is automatically promoted to the advanced member usergroup.

Thanks for any help.
