How to hide the icons when displaying threads

When displaying the threads in a forum, I want to hide the icons beside the thread title. It just obscures the view of the titles. How can I remove these icons?

For example on this page there's the big red envelope icon, and when you hover over it it says "You have 2 threads in this post".

And there's a smaller icon of a sheet of paper, and when you hover over it it shows a snippet of the first post in the thread.

And in stickies there's a gold icon.

I want all 3 of those icons removed. How can I do this?
