very slow forum

Dears,

I have since long time a problem with my forum it is (Very Slow) I contacted my Hosting site, they said my Database is too large.

Details:

- Database size 397 MB
- Post table size: 160 MB
- Postparsed table size: 145 MB
- All Attachments, Averts, album Pic, ...ets (All saved on server not on the Database)
- I installed VB optimize plug-in long time ago

They advice me to empty the post table but I refuse because (forum without post is nothing), then they said I have to optimize my database (I don't know how)

Please if any one can help me to solve this problem reply to me with the solution..

Log in to Admin panel > Maintenance (left and down column) > Repair Otimize Tables > Mark "Check All" > In Option Window click on "continue"

Also try to prune posts and users

i already did the repair of the tables... but nothing happend..

but I didn't got you about prune psots and users ?!

Prune very old posts, and prune those 0-post users.

Prune old posts:
Admin CP >> Threads & Posts >> Prune
Normally I would say the oldest 5% posts, but it is your choice.
Prune 0posts user:
Admin CP >> Users >> Prune / Move Users
Posts is less then 1 post should be ok.
