Deleting all posts & threads
To be blunt...my forum is screwed.
The hosts had somemind of catastrphic failure. They restored from backup, but now it seems the links between threads, posts and edits are broken. For example...old threads are either empty, or contain posts from another thread. Brand new threads seem OK, but sometimes have a mesage that post was edited by omeone long before the post was even made. The members eem fairly happy to have hje slate wiped, but how would I go about it? Just delete the possts table and the threads table?? waht about the edits? Essentially I want to delete everything except things related to styles and users. |

using the mass prune function in the admincp is safest.

Presumably their db backup is corrupt. Don't you have your own? I download a db backup every day!

So I did a mass prune, and everything seem OK...for a bit. Now im seeing random edits
http://www.wolvesforum.co.uk/showthr...=2065#post2065 Edited a year before the post was made? How odd... |
