Is there a way to require users to sign in / sign up before clicking hyperlinks in a thread? The reason is, I am hosting a lot of files on my server and I'd like for them to have to sign up before downloading.

I know I can change the attachment size within vB and require them to log in that way, but I really don't want to have an 250MB limit in attachment for all users.

Any tweaks you guys have seen floating around the mods section or have implemented yourself?
