Default Facebook Connect - Apps Page & Fan Page

I'm having some serious issues trying to get my head around whats going on with FB Connect.

Previously I made a facebook 'fan' page for my business to boost our social networking presence and acquired a www.facebook.com/username for that page. Since then the new Facebook Connect for vBulletin has come out where you can make the Application for people signing up to your forums. (Tell me if I'm wrong about this next part).

By using the 'FB Connect' link on the vBulletin forum/suite the user then adds the created Application to their FB User Applications, which means:

1) They automatically appear in the 'Like' section of the Apps Profile
2) They can post on your Apps profile wall
3) They can 'Post to Facebook Wall' on blogs and posts on your vBull forum
4) You access the Apps Profile page by logging into your Admin account and going to Account > Applications ? Applications Profile
5) Any posts you make on your wall will appear in all those who have 'Liked' your app (generally from automatically being added through your vBull forum) so you can promote features, competitions, etc.

So my questions/issues:

1) Does the fact that this app page is automatically added by vBull kinda make my 'Fan Page' useless, as they appear to do pretty much the same thing (deleting my fan page would seemingly result in me losing my facebook.com/username as they are non-transferable)

2) When I am in the App profile and go to the 'Welcome' tab, it gives me the option to link Facebook to Twitter, when I did this it linked my Fan Page and not my App one. My normal Facebook user profile is the Admin account for both the Fan Page and App Page. Is it possible to link Twitter to the App Profile if I intend to use that as my 'Fan' page.

3) Is it possible to get users to automatically add the Fan Page when they use FB Connect on my vBull forum instead of adding my App page? (which would solve all the above problems ).

Cheers guys, pulling my hair out with this one.

1.No
2.Yes
3. Yes
4. Yes
5.Most likely (not sure)

---------
1. Fan pages and apps are two separate things.
2. Again, fan pages and apps are two separate things. (not sure if possible)
3. You can add a "like" button(url=fan page) to the registration form and ask them to click it.

1) Fan pages and apps are separate but the app page has much more features so basically means you don't need the fan page.

2) I also tried linking my app page to twittter but this doesn't work

3) Check Xtrigit's post...
