What is the best advertisement mod? I want to put some banners/ads on my forums

What type of ads? If google adsense or another 3rd party ad provider you don't need a mod you just put the code they give you into one or more of the Ad Location templates...

If you are going to sell your own banners then any of the banner rotator mods should be fine.

If you are good in templates, you can manually insert codes. There is no need of mod. But if you are not good in templates, and having too many themes, instead of putting 1 by 1 just install the plugin vB Ad Management for your specific vB version and you just have to insert code only 1 time and it will be visible in all the skins.
