I am trying to add a FrontPage Slideshow to my vBulletin 4.0 front page. I cannot find a way to accomplish this though i have seen it applied to other vBulletin forums. Help please.

Did you ever work this out...I am wanting to do the same and it seems by the number of posts for a slideshow or the integration of Frontpage Slideshow there are many others having the same need

Thanks Harley
I am putting it on my home page which uses vba CMPS. I have the FPSS version 1.7.2 Standalone which doesn't include any vb integration but can very easily make it work using static images and text in the FPSS folder. But what I can't do is get it to take images from forum posts in vb v4.0.5 Any help is so greatly appreciated and it looks like there are many other vb users out there wanting the same thing. |

well a slideshow is easy if your just wanting to run some ads or pics you manually change out now and then, But it sounds like you want to grab pics people upload to a thread and have them shown randomly or something, not sure what FPSS version 1.7.2 Standalone program is about. never used it, if you just want to throw some java script in a folder to run a slide show of a select group of pics thats no problem
as far as VBA (a module) is possable too but you will still have to edit the pics manually if you want to change them out? but i can make a hella long show... are we on the same page ? |

Is this the mod you are trying: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=233909
We haven't been able to get it working correctly. It seems that the jquery program it uses conflicts with some other javascript library, probably yahoo's javascript library. I hope we can find answers in this thread. |

So I hosted the files locally with the slider.php and redirected url to point at the files. Now it is showing all the fragments below the main window. i figured this would be a problem with the css "display:none;" But the css element is in the file. But when I check firebug the element is no longer there.
Here is my home page: http://theriderlounge.com/mx/forum/content.php Do you know what could be causing this? |

Unfortunately we decided to just drop the slider for now and just get the site ready for launch. But we do have the slider up on a test forum. I will post a link once I get some test threads going in the test forum.
Yeah when I hosted locally all the fragments decided to appear at once. whereas when it was hosted through google they only appeared when they were clicked on. Thanks for your help. I will get a link up ASAP to our test forum. |
