How To Completely Disable Post Icon ?

Hi all..i have a question here..




as the title above..how to disable post icon ? and then how to remove post icon on forum display ? Plz guys..


because for me, post icon is not necessary to put in the whole forum..


this is what i mean...i want to disable this..but can't find where to set it off.. :-(

Copy your current newthread.php to newthread.php.bak

Edit out line 311 (ish) of your newthread.php file to so it looks like this:

// $posticons = construct_icons($newpost['iconid'], $foruminfo['allowicons']);

Save your changes - give it a shot.

That will disable the post icons but the column for them will still be there in forumdisplay and anywhere else they would show up... to remove them would mean template and maybe file edits.

Admincp >> Forums & Moderators >> Forum Manager

In each forum (i think you can do it just by catagory) under Enable / Disable Features section click "Allow Post Icons" to no and save.
