Yes, it has always been set to Automatic DST in the settings and it shows that for the new user, too. But if they don't set the "DST Currently" enabled or disabled, then the automatic settings does nothing. Right now the DST Currently is set as off (disabled), so unless they change it to enabled when they register, their time is off an hour as we are in DST time now. The Admin CP setting is only for unregistered users, anyway, so that won't have any affect on registered users.
The problem I am running into is my Local date and Time in Postbit and Profile hack will not show the proper time if they don't set the DST Currently on/off setting properly for the DST time of year. And most new users don't pay a lot of attention to that setting when they register, I have found. I wonder, is there any way to check the Automatic setting for what it is at the time? I might be able to make a work-a-round using that info, if I can figure out how vb is doing it. |
