Upgrading to 4.0?
Question, when yo upgrade to 4.0 do you lose all your current mods and stuff?
I might need somoen to do this for me. |

Moved out of Paid Requests and into General Discussions. If this is a Paid Request, I can move it back, but nobody can post back to you in the Paid Request forum - they can only PM you back with their quote for the job (or whatever their reply would be). Bumping does no good in that forum.

From what version are you upgrading? If from 3x then all your mods would need to be upgraded as well. If from a lower vb 4x version, then probably all the mods will work without change or with very mimimal changes. Hope it helps.
P.s. A word of advice on upgrading, if I may, make sure to make a thorough backup of your db first. Also make sure that it is done properly. |

when you upgrade you'll want to make a full backup
and then disable all your plugins before updating most 3.8 mods, won't work on 4.0, you'll have to update the mod. |

I went a step farther and uninstalled all my mods. Knowing they wouldn't work on vb4 anyway, it made no sense to leave them there, disabled or not. Don't forget you also have to manually delete any files you uploaded with the mods.
