how can i use images instead of the vb4 buttons for "new thread" and "post reply"
The buttons are hard-coded in, so I've been spending the last 2 hours editing CSS stuff and the SHOWTHREAD template trying to get my custom image to show up as a new thread button.
I have the image working and functional but it screwed up the thread name/link title so I removed that, which screwed up the pagination stuff. Everytime I solve a problem, another pops up. I just did a search and it doesn't seem like there are any related modifications that even come close to attempting something like this. Does anybody have any experience with this? I've set it aside for tonight but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it to work to perfection and would appreciate some help. |

Using Firebug on the default style, I've had no issue replacing the stylized text link with a linked image.
Unless you've made edits to anything else in SHOWTHREAD that you'd like to keep, revert that template. Find the <a> tags that have the "Post New" text in them, and simply replace the text with an image, then remove the class attribute from the <a> tag. |
