Lynne kindly showed me where the graphical pdf rests for trying to modify the stylevar(s). Yet, it's kind of difficult to use, and I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for through there.
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/conte...tyling-Theming It would be cool if someone wrote a debug type hack that would be able to send the variable name to an alt style tag or even a separate window of what the variable is when the cursor is pointed over an element where-ever you are in vbulletin. Firebug, for example, allows you to hover over any webpage, and it will output in a window, ajax style, the html code used to generate that piece of display. Unless I am doing something wrong, which wouldn't surprise me, I can only see the variable output results, and not the variable names. This kind of tool would be invaluable to quickly tracking down problems in stylevars, and would be independent of software upgrades by vbulletin versions. IE, if the stylvar system changes, or the variables changed, the code would still in real time output the appropriate variables so you could search for them in the template editors...... Sorry, if this hack request is in the wrong forum. I wasn't sure if it should go here, or in mods, or in styles. If a mod want to move it for the more appropriate location, please do so. |
