No Update notifications
I am receiving other email from vb.org but I have not received any hack update emails. Is that a fluke?
Apologies if this has already been discussed. -Jason |

You have to mark yourself as installed and set your options for mod updates (in the mod thread itself)

I have which is weird, I get the notifications from the thread subscription but not the individual update emails when the hack is updated.

On the hack page, there's a link called "Edit Options" which allows you to set the options for notifications regarding hack updates. Check there.

Sorry, I mean when you mark a hack as installed, it should default to autonotify you of updates. I thought that was always the case in the past, I was gone last year so it may have changed on me.
No sweat, -Jason |

The default is (and always has been) that you will receive updates manually sent by the coder (using the send updates option). Automatic updates are those sent whenever a modification file is updated (re-uploaded). You have to opt for them (they have only been available for about 3 years). Same goes for the option to receive them as PMs rather than e-mail.

Update e-mails for which mod ?
I get a copy of all (manual) update e-mails sent - so I can check if one was sent recently - there have been 22 so far in May. |
