merging posts

right I have 2 forums and I was wondering how I can take the posts of one and merge them into the other forum.. I.e. take the posts from forum 1 and merge them into forum 2... as well as this. I only wants posts in about the last year and also all the members.. any help? thanks

You would need to perform a Impex from one to the other and import them with that system. I suggest that you clean out everything you do not want in the second forum (all the old posts from later than a year) and then impex it into the other forum. Its tricky and you will need to make sure that you back everything up on both forums before doing this. If you have never Impexed a board before I suggest you hire someone to do it because you can really screw up your database if you do not know what you are doing.

Also, whatever you will do it (by yourself of hiring someone else), make first a thorough backup of the databases of both forums. So if things don''t go as planned, then you can always roll back.
