nav bar-dropdown-hover highlight color [solved]

hovering over a choice in the navbar dropdown menu (for example, Quick Links > Who's Online) highlights the list item by changing the background color of the item.

where is the highlight color changed?

I am trying to use Firebug to find it but I cannot inspect the highlighted element. trying to right click on the option while highlighted is only showing me the dropdown element, not the highlight color.

found my answer, the stylevar is imodhilite_backgroundColor for anyone else who may have this question
