Manually added new forums from mysql are not showing up
Hi,
I'v having issues adding forums manually from mysql I insert the proper values in the "forums" table but they do not show. Is their another reference in SQL for the forums? Thanks (Posted in the wrong section, this is reffered to VB 3.8.5) |

Any particular reason as to why you are doing that? You can add forums very easy from the Acp-Forum&Moderators-Addm new forum. No need for phpmyadmin.

I think you may have to go into the Forum Manager and click on a forum and save it to get it to rebuild the bitfields. But, I'm not positive about this since I have never tried adding a forum from the database (can't think of why I would do that). Try that on a test site and see if it works.

i found the solution by going to
Maintenance - > Update counters borbole i'm aware i can add forums from the acp, but i was adding 1200 forums all different Took 30 min to code php script to do it via mysql, i think it's faster then doing it from the acp |
