Why don't you want to show it to unregistered? They would still be able to see it but not by clicking the Member List link but when clicking the Register link. Same result for them.

Hm, I did not follow you here. Why would unregistered users see the member profiles by clicking the register link?

Because you want to show the list of current membernames when they register.

Yes, I want them to use the current member list link on the forum. The one that all members use.

So do you now see that if you would implement what you are suggesting that guests will also be able to see the member list, even if you would turn off the permission?
