Hi,

just a quick questions - is there any way to show a widget on cms only to unregistered users? In the same way as the welcome message?

I did this using a combination of template conditionals and php conditionals. If anyone has a better idea please post it.

Just use your own template for the widget and put a condition around the template to only show the contents to unregistered users.
