I was under the impression MPG was supposed to load in QuickTime by default. I know if the file is MPEG-2, it will only play in QuickTime Pro.
No one has it installed? It's a standard inclusion with, well, every PC I've ever dealt with. In any event, Windows Media Player still won't play MPG without the proper codec.
Heck no. QuickTime is an APPLE product. It's never come standard on a PC. It has always had to be downloaded separate. And the main video players out there, aside from Windows MediaPlayer, is VLC Player. But 99% of the population still just use Mediaplayer.
Quicktime is just as popular as the .mov format that it was made to support (which is not popular at all) Maybe 7yrs ago some people used Quicktime. But it's loooong gone as a popular media player. (aside from Mac users probably) Both Quicktime/MOV and RealPlayer/RM player/formats went out the door long ago.
And I'm not sure what MPGs you're referring to - Windows MediaPlayer (WMP) play mpg just fine, stock.
Anyway, my point is.. Goldbrick uses a long defunct player which nobody uses anymore, try and play mpgs, so for mpgs, Goldbric is useless unfortunately.
