Make What's going on Collapsable

Hi,

I've been trying to make the What's going on collapsable. So here what I did so far that should make it works:

in the FORUMHOME template, I have put the following code (coming from another template and the diff is in blue):

So, my question is how do we make it works? Is there a binding we have to do with a javascript or something like that? Is there some properties in the children that make it impossible to achieve this easily? I've tried to check for some attributes with the other elements that can be collapsed, but found nothing.
