Certain RSS Feeds no longer parsing correctly?
For the past year my forum has been posting CNN RSS feeds into our news room and for the most part it's worked out good, but as of recently they just do not correctly parse the links in the feeds.
To be specific, this is the feed link I have been using: http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss Normally it would generate the normal output, however recently they only output the following: Quote:
This has just recently started, in fact, the last successful feed was approx. 5 days ago. No changes have been made to the forum in the last 5 days (or even the last two weeks for that matter). Does anyone have an opinion or recommendation, running latest 3.8.4PL2 |

I did a quick demo of this feed and it previews fine, but it looks like this when I turn Convert HTML to BB Code off.

Hi,
Thank you for answering. Unfortunately this does not solve the problem, as even when disabling it from being converted to bbcode it fails to properly post. Just as a test I locally installed a fresh copy of vb3.8.4PL2 and when adding the feed the problem presented itself again, so at least I know it's not my install Any other ideas/opinions/thoughts? Much appreciated. |

If should properly preview if you set that setting to Yes. It looks like the very first HTML bracket "<" is being stripped out for some reason. Can you think of any reason why it would be doing that, even in an Admin CP preview?
