User Group saves as a Custom Group instead of saving
When I save settings on any User Group including Admin, it saves it as a custom group and settings don't save in original Group. I am Running VB 4.01 upgraded from VB 3.84. So I can't change any settings at all.

Moving to vB4 discussions.
Most likely caused by a modification. Also please check the bug reports on vB.com as it was reported a few times IIRC. To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem. Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. |

Okay thanks I tried it with all mods disabled and still the same, so will overwrite the php files,
will report back as well as check bug reports. I finally fixed it by physically removing all mods and orphaned mod file from VB 3.84 and now all is working as it should, thanks. |

What is under maintenance > diagnostics > problematic web modules. If suhosin shows up, do a search over at vb.com because this issue has the fix posted over there (you need to change some suhosin settings).
