i think there should be a hack portal section, where you find hacks' categories, and when you click on a hack you get info like:
Hack: version: vB version: Description: like the one which was on the old vbulletin.org |

That's not a bad idea. What I think is when you start a new thread in the Releases forum you should be presented with a form to fill out along those lines, in addition with a standard new thread form. Then it could be posted in a separate read-only forum for those just looking to peruse hacks without all the thread stuff.

Yeah,may also kind of a hack db were you could search for a hack. Inside that the mentioned info would be shown and also the link to the forum thread. The creator would only need to start the thread in the forum.
