Stopping guests from making comments on articles?
I want guests to be able to read articles but not post comments, the only box i have ticked in the permissions "Can read" but guests are still able to post comments.....
is their a way to fix this? |

Edit the CMS settings on that usergroup. Mine is set to be able to read and that's it.

Under the CMS in the admin panel. Change per section and category.

As far as I've been able to figure out, you can't pick and choose which usergroups that should be allowed to comment. I haven't found a way, the only choice I've found is enable/disable commenting all together, from the new/edit article page. I could be wrong, but I don't have an option for comments in the permissions page for CMS in the admin CP.

I think you should make a bugreport, og support ticket,
its a default feature issue, and its not present on all boards. so letting the devs know, is a nice way to go. |

thats what i'm saying it's set to read but everyone can still make comments, they just can't write and publish articles
|

Hm it does not even show the ip addres of guests posting messages so you can't even ban them
|
