Add-On Releases - Radio and TV Player 3.8.x

This will add a fully featured Radio and TV Streaming Player with stations library to your forum.

Features:
- Users can add / delete / edit own stations (controlled by usergroup permissions)
- Users can have a favorite stations list
- Report broken / duplicate stations links
- Totally coded in AJAX (no page reloads)
- Plays Windows Media Player, Real Player and Quicktime streams
- Shows user's favorites and last played station in profile page
- and much more...

Installation is easy. You need to upload some files, import a product, import the default stations (if you wish) and make only two manual navbar template edits, one for the popup link and another for the javascript that opens the popup. This is optional and the link can be put elsewhere, just remember to also add the javascript on the same page.

This mod is "Re-usable Code", meaning you can modify and release your modified version.

You are responsible for the streams you add to your website. The mod author doesn't take responsibility for possible copyright infringements in some countries by using some stations.

Arabic and Chinese don't work with Ajax, so this mod won't work, sorry.

This mod took roughly two weeks to code, so it should be somewhat good and bug free

Great Mod, Ive had it on my site running strong for 6 months.
Suddently today I get the following message below:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in [path]/includes/init.php(304) : eval()'d code on line 613

What could this mean. I am not technical at all! Obviously I
guess there is an error on the 613th line of the script?? But
what file should I be looking at to correct this issue?

I looked through this thread for anything regarding Adsense, but didn't find it. I'm off to look through your old versions of this mod to see if anyone already suggested it :up:

I heard vbcms has some issues with this... but it's corrected just by editing the popup javascript to a full url, instead the "/radioandtv.php" or something as far as I remember.

on the new version I'm planning, it will be a normal tab instead of a popup so no more fighting it.

edit: and I think someone released a mod to add Google Adsense to the popup window.

If I change it to the full url instead of the popup javascript, then I lose the ability to continue on the site while listening to the radio player. It opens the page and not the popup. I have to find a way around that.

I'm not updating to 4.0, but will the 'tab' be available to the 3.8.4 crowd?

And yes, I found that mod and helped with adding the ads where I wanted them. Thanks.

Dream, just noticed that the ShoutCast mod that Zachariah put together has the same popup option, but has an option to run it on vBadvanced vbcms. Can we adopt the same instructions to somehow get it work for your great mod?

How do I get this to also work on VbAdvanced?

If you use VbAdvanced, the variables used will result in the following modification not working unless you perform the following steps. Note you likely need vBa v3.0 to get it to work!

1)
Go to Plugin Manager; "Admin CP > Plugins & Products > Plugin Manager"

Find: "Shoutcast Status Full - Main"

Edit plugin & Change the "Hook Location" to "parse_templates"

2)
Save Plugin

3)
Go to vBa options; "Admin CP > vBa CMPS > Default Settings > Main Options"

Now find: "Portal Output Global Variables"

Copy the following into the box exactly in the format below:

streamstatus
servertitle
bitrate
currentlisteners
maxlisteners

4)
Save Settings

Complete!

No sir, no VB4 for me... most of my site wouldnt work with VB4. Im running the last version and updates of VB4.

dont remove the javascript, just change the url on it.

sorry, it's likely the 3.8 version won't be updated.

You must have made (can't remember details now) a template edit on navbar, to add the funcion openRadioAndTV() which has the link to the php file. Edit the navbar and change that.
