I was asked to see if it's possible to have users of our forum be able to simply login via a login on our website's homepage (apparently it's too much for them to remember the forum link
![]() I've searched around and can't find what I'm looking for. Our website is really basic, just some htmland css, and our forum is closed to staff only. Only people with existing logins would be accessing the forum. So they hit the homepage, there would be a login somewhere and when they login they would be brought directly to the forum (without logging in again of course). I'm not sure what to search for anymore. Can someone help? We're using 3.8 but upgrading to 4 soon-ish if that makes a difference. |

Placing a link to the forum on your website homepage would be the simplest. This way you wouldn't have to recode a custom login for a later version of vBulletin. (vBulletin won't guarantee that current login code will still work under 4.1 or 4.2, since those versions haven't been written yet.)

I know the link is easiest, but he's really wants them to be able to login from that page unfortunately

But if you're not comfortable modifying someone else's code, drop me a PM with your website link and forum link, and I'll send back some code for you to place in your homepage code. |
