I used to have a paid subscription part of my forums where members were charged each month to access a part of my forums.
I have canceled that service and opened up that part of the boards for free now. After canceling all subscriptions, for some reason, paypal is still automatically charging several members each month. I can't get a hold of the members to instruct them to go into paypal to cancel their subscriptions. They won't respond! So, what else can I do on my end to cancel the automatic subscriptions? Thanks! |

If the subs are set up in the user account there isn't anything you can do. They need to log into their paypal account and cancel the subscription. What if you mass email all members with a notice.

I only have 2 members that are still subscribing despite the fact that the forums are now totally free.
It has been that way for about 7 months and these guys are inactive members and I have personally emailed them both many times as well as issued refunds through paypal along with messages. Issuing refunds to them have actually caused my paypal account to have some restrictions. Paypal now has set aside a portion of everything that enters my paypal account as a "reserve" that I cannot touch for x amount of days, in case of future disputes.) They just don't respond! It's weird. |
