Well I had posted in the other thread last week or so but it seems this is the one to post in (Plus I updated a couple of small things anyway):
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6919/cgscreen.jpg A screen from our site's test site. It's using the default colours but only because it suits our website header. |

I could say,
even convert a vb 3.x.x style to 4.x.x style was something. @Darkmmortal: Very nice and clear done ! |

I am a total Noob at this; only been playing with VB for the last year. Got through the upgrade with only minor setbacks here and there. Not too bad. The more familiar I get with the CMS the more I like it - a HUGE improvement over vbAdvanced. Last big job is to upgrade vbGallery to Photopost Pro and re-link with the site. Other than that I have been getting a good response from my members.

Despite the missing style variables, I think this one didn't turn out too bad. But it's almost entirely re-coloring.

Once you get the hang of it the stylevars and templates are pretty easy to find your way around.. here's my forums so far.

Changed my images first before I upgraded to vB4 then did the upgrade, went perfectly. I then changed all the Style Vars, what a job that is, here is the mostly finished work. Style 1 a Red and Black style a lot of changes:
http://www.mikescomputerinfo.com/vbi....php?styleid=2 Style 2 Blue with Black and Red images new Logo: http://www.mikescomputerinfo.com/vbi....php?styleid=5 and the Default Style with new logo: http://www.mikescomputerinfo.com/vbi....php?styleid=6 I made 3 styles the Red and Black, the default with the Black and Red images and the vB default, each style has it's own image folder, images1, images2 and images3 and the image paths in all the vars for each style has been changed. Thanks for looking and for any comments. All ads are made to match the different styles. |

My skin is an adaption form my vbulletin 3.X Skin.
Now. I really did notl ike the nav bar of vBulletin 4.X so the first thing you will notice in the screenshot is the fact that the navbar is rather different to normal vbulletin 4.X skins ^^ It's like a hybrid between 3.X and 4.X =] Second thing you will notice is I abolished those CSS Buttons and put back the old fashioned image buttons. =] After some testing and tweaking I got them working just like the old ones. =] Anyway I feel I am only 30% done so far and as I am in a rush I am sorry for the rather low quality screenshot below =] I'll put better ones up when I am done! I hope you guys like it! |
