What is Qur'an? Muslims believe that the Qur'an is words of God which He revealed to His last Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

I've decided to create this thread for updated version of this mod in the latest vb version mods section to move on with the changes. This mod should work on 3.8.x, 3.7.x and 3.6.x. I don't know about 3.5 or lower versions.

Mod Description: This mod lets the users on your board read the Glorious Qur'an in Arabic and interpretation of the meaning in 25 different languages.

The attached file has everything that you need.

Question: Can you please translate this mod in language "A"?
Answer: This mod contains 25 different languages: Albanian, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, Brazilian, Dutch, 3 English, Finnish, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Malaysian, Mexican, Polish, Portugese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Thai, Transliteration, Turkish, 2 Urdu. So, please do not request for a language if it can be found in this list.

-Known Bugs and Limitations
- The Qur'aan (Arabic text) is fixed as default.
- Weird character maybe displayed for some of the languages
- Multiple Page selection destroys the use of AJAX; so users have to reselect the languages
if they were viewing the meaning of the Qur'aan in non-default languages.

- Users can choose to get displayed number of ayaat on one page [AJAX]
- Users can choose to display ayaat "From" to "To" [AJAX]
- Display url for each ayah; so that it can be linked

Its a brilliant plugin. but how does it picks out the data as i do not see any data in the plugin. Does it fetch data from your side of server. Just curious.

Hello !

Iam useing Version 3.8.4 and I have tried many times , but I can not invoke the install_quran.php form my forum. all the others things work I mean i can import the product and have made changes 2 the templets and it shows up at the navbar bar as soon as I click on it takes me to a database page error, and I can understand it becuse I can not install or run the quran_install.php

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35710 bytes) in /customers/xxxxxxx.xx/xxxxxxx.xx/httpd.www/xxxxformu/quran_install.php on line 4834

any comments on that ?

Jazak Allah khayran brother for your kind comment. Allhamdulillah, I was sick on bed due to surgery when you were complaining.

Right now, I cannot help much with this problem - few other users also had the same issue. The problem has to do with dumping text into the the database but your server runs out of memory because it takes a while for the process to finish. One way to get around this is to increase memory size of your sql server and other way is to wait for next update which will come by end of this year, insha'Allah.

this plug in us really nice, and important ..
I was using its old version, problem in old version (Quran with windows-1256 char set) is, there were some secuirty flaws...
that is why!
yesterday i have updated this version, with UTF-8 ;

But after changing language from windows-1256 to UTF-8, Most of the posts from my forum changed..

So it is impossible to use new version; because it is destroying most of my threads and posts.. those were not posted in UTF-8 char set..

I am sorry, but i have edited your plugin to work with old database. that was windows-1256 ...

finally i got it, working normal again...

vB is not UTF ready. A lot of important features will not work.

So i have also upload modified plugin file and old database of complete quran (eng/urdu only) with windows-1256 char set; for other users whom are feeling problem by converting to UTF-8.
