The add-on has been updated to reflect Facebook new policy starting October 1st (read more here). Basically this is a maintenance update for user of this add-on from the past. The add-on now supports vBulletin 3.8.x only. In this new version, there are only the basic features: register and login (some simple sharing too). It keeps old settings so you don't need to re-configure.
How to update (this is important):
1. Disable the add-on in AdminCP
2. Upload files in the package (make sure you disable the add-on before uploading)
3. Import the xml in the package, choose Yes to rewrite.
4. Re-enable the add-on
5. Done
Just remember to disable the add-on before uploading files and you will be okie.
A little note for attachment downloads:
- YAFB v1.4 had been downloaded 36 times before I removed it
- YAFB v1.5: 4 downloads, YAFB v1.5.1: 26 downloads, YAFB v1.6: 29 downloads, YAFB v1.7: 22 downloads, YAFB v1.8: 48 downloads
- YAFB v1.9: 150 downloads
- YAFB v2.0: 31 downloads, YAFB v2.0.1: 10 downloads, YAFB v2.0.2: 49 downloads, YAFB v2.1: 55 downloads; YAFB v2.2: 1210 downloads; YAFB v2.2.5: 661 downloads
the other problem I'm having is that when I go to edit the templates in the template bundle the code seems to keep adding templates over and over and now I have over a dozen duplicated templates.
where are these stored so that I can delete the duplicates and edit them manually.
see my screen dump.
thanks in advance.
ps: in addition Facebook says template bundles will be deprecated on December 10, 2009 and want people to switch to other technology. ar you aware of this? Do you have plan to modify the code?
Basically, the product will remove the old template before register the new one. You can "delete" by go to edit page and check "Yes" under "Delete".
About the deprecation of template bundles, most of the time, YAFB will try to publish with stream_publish which doesn't require a template bundle. But sometimes, when that function fails, the product will try to fall back to publishstory function which requires template bundles. It's unclear that sometimes, users will need to use the template bundle model. I think Facebook is going to release something to replace it, we will see

???
Yeah, most of the time, Save Changes does nothing. If the javascript library hasn't finished loading but you click that button, it will result in no facebook userid is sent to server so it just does the job to remove the associated userid. There is a note about this if you read
I'm not sure if this has already been suggested, but it would nice if YAFB provided an option to allow the user to find their facebook friends that have already linked their facebook account to their forum account. YAFB could present them in a list, with a link next to each tallowing them to "befriend" them. That way the user can easily (re)connect with their facebook friends on the forums.
Anyway, great mod and thanks for all the work you have put into it.
I'm missing something? It works fine for a new person logging in (see www.mummybrain.com) but if someone is already logged in, how can i link their facebook with their account that is already on my site?
when I try to delete a template in the bundle I get the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /usr/local/websites/myforum/forums/admincp/fbb_admin.php on line 125
I'm sorry, which version are you using?

It's a great idea. Definitely will be available in the next version

Hmm, what about visiting UserCP > Facebook Bridge > Edit Options? Cheers
I would like to just give a big thanks to the developer, mrpaint. I installed this last month and my statistics have already doubled and my revenues are wayyy up!! Users have been using the Facebook tie and it's been clearly generating high amounts of traffic when they share their posts/threads.
I've also noticed an increase in user-registration as it's less cumbersome to sign up..
Again, just wanted to say thanks! What a great mod!!
