I am a new owner of VB and a couple of things I would like to do are.
List just recent topics as links on my website in a pre-determined section of my front index page I have seen external.php but how do I control the style of how it is displayed. Code:
<script src="http://www.yourdomain.com/forumpath/external.php?type=js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- for (i in threads) { document.writeln(threads[i].title + " (" + threads[i].poster + ")<br />"); } //--> </script> The second thing I would like to do is does anyone know of a modx/vbulleting working bridge? I asked on modx forums and everyone uses smf/phpbb no one pays ![]() If I can atleast get the forum topic links started then I would be happy I want to place them on the left side where it says forum topics here http://www.angrygaming.org/agn/ really appreciate any help given and I am really happy I purchased vb was worth every penny. --------------- Added [DATE]1255952592[/DATE] at [TIME]1255952592[/TIME] --------------- siomebody help please even if its just a link to some proper documentation. |

The code you posted is javascript. You would need to change the document.write line to put in any html you want. You can look at these threads:
[HowTo] Display your latest threads on an external page using an RSS2 feed [HowTo] Display your latest threads on an external page using an XML feed [HowTo] Display your latest threads on an external page using an RSS feed There is also an article in the articles forums on how to pull the latest threads via a query. |

Hey Jessay, its |-BGZ-| RICH@RD here.
I think your site would probably benefit from using vbulletin as the home page and perhaps installing tabbed browsing and the sidebars addons. It would be much easier for you to bring in dynamic content. As I have offered before, I can give you a hand. |
