tons of "query killed" in mySQL log files
The performance on my site has been horrible lately. Of course, the tech support for my host hasn't been much help. I'm logging about 2500 visitors per day.
In the mySQL logs, I see tons of "query killed" messages related to various vBulletin operations. I suspect that this is the culprit for the performance issue. Does anyone have any advice on what I should look at to resolve this? Is this a host issue or a vBulletin config issue? BTW, I'm using HostGator.com...they say that they won't alter their mySQL policies to make the "query killed" deal stop. Does anyone else use Hostgator? |

Without seeing specifics of which query is causing the problem, it's hard to help with the problem. It could be a modification causing the problem. Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you continue to have the performance issues.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:
