Hi. I'm brand new here, with a question about a certain Vbulletin forum. How can a user delete his or her own posts and/or whole account from a particular forum? In particular, on a certain forum I would like to remove/delete some posts and/or just have my account removed. However, the 'mods' admins or whomever has control over it, has not enabled permissions to delete my own posts and/or account.
So, in general, who do you need to contact, to have your posts and/or whole account deleted from a forum. It's SO annoying, the fact that things were said that I very much regret and ended up with a bad rep on a particular forum (there were some +'s but mostly -'s). So, I have no desire to go back there but also want to clear out, at least certain particular posts that I had made, that were just wrong (for whatever reason). What's the best way/is there any way to accomplish this? Maybe, if you set up a new username/account using your same email address, does that clear out everything that was there under your previous screen name? What if you send a PM to the admin(s), try to find out who the owner(s) of the forum are, then contact/email/or PM them? Does a forum user have more rights, such as being able to delete your own posts, when they buy a subscription? What if you would -- go the the extreme-- of buying your own Vbulletin software, find out how it works, and then try to figure out some way of deleting your own posts and/or account, from the forum that has everything you ever said archived and some of the things held against you? Any answers on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
