Ok, I have decided to remove vbulletin from one of my sites and install a fresh copy on another domain on the same host, but I would like to use my old vbulletin forums databsse which has about 300+ users on it.
I'm not to sure on how this works, first of all, how do I do it. Second of all, how do I do it so it only adds the users and not the posts? :Posted in wrong forum, please move to correct forum thanks. |

- Export the table "Users" of your old vBulletin database.
- Install your new vB forum, fresh database. - Go to your new forum's database and DROP the table users - Import the table Users that you exported from your old database. this should work. good luck ! |

Ah ok, thanks for confirming that, I wasn't sure about it tho..
Then, the other solution im thinking about is: - Create a new dabatase - Import the whole "old" database into the new one. - Download your vB files and edit the config to match with the new database info. ( the forum should start working with no need of a new installation ) - Delete all posts, remove all plugins. and done, you have a forum with all the users and no products.. |

See Moving Servers
Ypu will need to remove all unwanted threads etc afterwards. You can not only transfer the users. |
