When I did that upgrade, I found a good article that went over some differences which really helped me out with the mods that I wrote myself. Unfortunately, I can't remember the specifics.

I would have no clue where that article was that I found. I'm sure I just googled it.

You shouldn't have to uninstall your mods especially since mysql 5 has been out for ages and I'm sure most mods work just fine with it. I just seem to recall some differences in the way some queries were written (or tables were grouped, if I recall). I just can't remember the specifics.
