User Privacy is my #1 concern with my forum.
I've added some new super moderators, and I'm just making sure they can't read private messages? Me as an administrator can't even find a spot to read private messages, so my hope is vbulletin will not allow that to occur, is that correct? |

Private messages are Private. They cannot be read using vBulletin by anyone except the person who currently holds the message in their inbox.
Of course there is reading it from the database and the Cyb- Login To User Account modification. As I doubt your staff have access to either of these; they are definitely private. |

The reading of PMs is not a function built into vBulletin, and considerable skill and understanding would be required to do so. However, there are hacks that enable specific usergroups to do this - for example: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ivate+messages
If you wish to ensure that PMs cannot be read by staff members then simply don't add the hacks that permit it. Without using these hacks it's virtually impossible. |
