Login Problems
At first we had problems logging into the forums. After entering username and password it would accept it just fun and we would get the redirect but it would take us back to the forums not logged in.
I had no problems logging into the Admin Control Panel, and leaving the control panel for the forums would keep me logged into the forums. So I changed the cookie domain to .domain.com/forumsdirectory/ That solved the problem with logging into the forums, but now I can't log into the Admin Control Panel. Again, I it appears to accept the username and password and gives me the normal "thank you for logging in" and redirect, but goes right back to the login screen. Any ideas on how to get both logins working at the same time? Thank you for your help! |

Why don't you just have the cookie domain set to .domain.com ?

I tired that first but it didn't work.
I have since reset everything to default settings and I can once again log into the Admin Control Panel, but logging into the forum is still an issue. I have found that when I try to log in, it accepts my log in, takes me to the redirect page, and then back to the forums in an unlogged in state, BUT if I hit Refresh on the browser, the forums refresh and show me as logged in. If it helps, I am on a Mac using 10.5.8 with Safari 4.03 and it does not seem to be an issue on Windows machines with Internet Explorer. Is there an issue with Macs or Safari? Thanks! |
