I'm trying to make my site with Vbulletin work similar to my Ning.com site--everything is similar except Ning site has registration up front and enables entire site rather than just forums and it has an Invite section to ask other people to join--here are my questions:
1. Does Vbulletin have the option to set up password access for entire website rather than just forum? 2. Is there a feature that allows me to send invitations to join my site through the Vbulletin forums? Thanks Randall |

For #1 you can disable CAN VIEW FORUMS for guests!
2. Yes, matter of fact even registered members on your site can send invitations to their friends! There are over thousands of useful mods for vBulletin I prefer vBulletin over all other softwares/scripts |

Thanks--not really sure how to do most of this--trying to set up a business that has a social networking aspect to it but needs more horsepower than I believe Ning can provide--however, like a lot of the features on Ning--the invitation (and it looks good too) and the one place registration that makes chat, groups, events, etc. available. Also, need some type of skin to make my site look better like a Ning site
