Articles - putting a series of thoughts in order

I installed the articles mod and had a few question about organization.

1st I am adding content to my site and I am using the articles mod but I am having trouble putting together an index. I have resorted to summerizing my articles on one page with links acking an index but it gets lost with the other articles that I wrote. Is there a way to write several articles and put them in a specific order to tell a story.

2nd I have spent countless hours going through this site's mods when I think it it would take a whole lot less time going through an index of the mods.

Does anyone have sugustions?
