Answers Forum
Ever wanted to enable the ability to specify a certain forum as an "answer" forum, where members can post questions and select the best answer given by the community? This is similar to yahoo answers, a very effective website where users can post questions and seek answers from registered users. Answering questions can get to be a mess, keep it organized and save yourself a bit of hassle when dealing with Q&A's. As a webmaster, you already have enough on your hands to have to worry about answering questions sometimes, and need an effective way to do this! Or maybe, you just want to let your community do it for you

 Tips & Suggestions
I've found that using Thread Prefixes and tweaking things up a bit is a great way to get things categories, unless you want to make forums for each or use Extra Threadfields Had been asked this a few times.
Not at the moment. It's been requested and something like this would very well be integrated in the next version, but right now it's completely forum based. Meaning it will literally create a pure Q&A directory.
If we go for the per-thread feature it'd probably just start off as disabling per thread in existing Answer Forums (as you mentioned), rather than assigning a thread the Q&A functionality. It just seems messy and pointless to allow people to randomly ask questions throughout the forums using this functionality, as oppose to allowing them to do it in a location in the forums where they can expect to be answered, and view other questions and what not as well. That's why yahoo answers worked so well I think (with a lot of other reasons of course).
Disabling a certain thread would be what I have in mind. Out of say 100 threads in the special QA forum, there are a handful of threads which are not QA so that may just work as well.
What is your timeline for the next version? I may just hold off purchasing the premium version until then.
Would be nice if we can get a trial version to run it for a few weeks on our forum to see how it works. You know where I can be reached.
You can check out the version on ProvB. Right now I'm a bit caught up with other releases and updates, but hopefully will be doing small updates to other products within the next 1-2 weeks.
Anyway, lets go back to talking about the Light version before one of us gets heat from the staff
I uploaded this but it does not exactly show up in the usergroup permissions it seems. I went into the registered member usergroup and seen a blank spot while this hack was enabled. I disabled it & the blank spot went away - I attached an image to show you what I mean. If you could help please...I'd love to use this hack.
