What's so hard about saying thank you?

I've noticed that since I put this post up - a few cheeky thank you's have emerged!

hehe - loving it! beggers can't be choosers a "thanks" is a "thanks"

oh - and I don't blame any social group for anything. I like the answer FreshFroot gave about being "infracted" - and the answer cheat-master30 gave about multiple posts. Although the multiple posters annoy me - asking the question once will yield the same result.

Your left wondering if this actually helped the person and could benfit other people who have the same issues. People of this nature I never help again. Thankyou or not I don't really require nor do I expect it so it doesn't bother me too much apart from what I explained above.

This 100%. I couldn't have said it better myself. I tend to get a lot of downtime at work, so I pass some of it by trying to help people here. I just tend to wonder if I'm actually helping or not, so I appreciate when someone says it worked (or didn't). If 5 people have the same question (and usually do), I don't want to give 5 people the same wrong answer, ya know?

To the person who mentioned multiple posters/posts, it's pretty much because some people are apparently incredibly impatient and seem to think not getting a reply in three minutes is a reason to bump a topic and/or make a new topic with the exact same question. When these people then don't say thank you when they get help...

Really strange why people don't say thank you for help when they get what they need. As for me i always thank people even if their advice isn't very good....

Amen...lack of thank you's is one of my biggest pet peeves lol all my children's first words were 'peeeez' and 'ank-u'...kid speak LMAO and you're welcome as soon as they could pronounce it, my 3 yr old daughter now, when I say no to something just stands there batting her eyes up at me saying peeeeeeez over and over in the hopes I'll give in lol
