Copy settings?
Is there a tool or easy method for copying all of the admin/forum settings from an existing board to a new installation? In otherwords, I may install a new forum on another website, but would like to instantly set all of the admin settings to match my existing site? Any way to do this?
Thanks, Johnnie |

I don't have access to my forum atm as we're currently moving servers but:
You could just copy the related database tables. All the settings are stored in the database, so just export user, usergroup etc. Then import them into your new forum database. |

Copying related tables will not work and might even leave your installation unusable.
If you only want to transfer the settings (vB Options), then there is an export/import option. If you open the vB Options in the AdminCP you will see a link to backup/restore settings. |
