How to upgrade to newest vBulletin
Hey everyone,
I would like to update my vBulletin from 3.8.2 to the latest vBulletin. However I have customized the default template and have a custom header and some code in the footer and other templates, I can't exactly remember what though but I do know I have added quite a substantial amount of code for various things. So when I upgrade to 3.8.3 will I lose all of these customizations? How should I go about backing all of that code up? Thanks. |

There are no template edits from 3.8.2 to 3.8.3, just file changes. So no, you wouldn't lose your template customizations

Okay thanks for your help, so it will not replace the header.php files etc?
I think I have some google adsense code and analytics code placed in some of those files, including full custom header and i'm sure i've done more like how you can remove "vbulletin" from the page title etc. |

If you have customised files (like header.PHP) then these will be overwritten in an upgrade.
