Hi all,
I have a very large forum with dozens of sections which works well. However, every thread in any section can also apply to a generation or age of car. A lot of my users only want to view threads relating to certain generations and I do not want to replicate my entire forum structure for each generation. A lot of threads are also generic and apply to every generation. What I was thinking was is there a way a user can tag or categorize a thread as belonging to one or more generations when they post and then other users can filter on this if they like when viewing or searching? I guess I'm trying to organize my threads with an additional dimension to the existing forum section structure. Many thanks, Rach x |

You can look into thread prefixes and also thread tagging. Both are default options in vbulletin 3.7 and on. Both are explained in the manual which is linked in my signature.
