Is it possible for VB use two seperate Databases?

I looked around but couldn?t find anyone else asking this question.
I want to see if it?s possible to run a copy of Vbulletin that uses 2 separate databases.

Here is my scenario. I reached a point on my board where I want to divide it in half and have specific user groups only use the new installation while everyone else uses the main site. I?m familiar with moving tables from one database to another by hand.
For the new site, I will install a fresh copy of VB into a sub domain on the same server with a brand new database independent from the main site. I?ve done that plenty of times.
But I would like to also share a couple forums from the main site to the new site so they would be working in real-time instead of manually moving data over.
In a nutshell, I want half the site to use a fresh database and the other half to use part of the existing database. The goal is to have both sites communicating with each other via a few forums. I saw a hack that allows two separate boards to share a thread. If worse comes to worse, I will have to purchase a new license and another hosting account for the second site. I just wanted to see if I could save myself a few bucks.
I hope that made some sense? Just want to see if it?s possible.

I'm sorry, Nevermind. I was just PM'ed a very simple solution with just making another user group and applying premissions so half the people can't see what I don't want them too. This will not only do everything that I wanted, but is so much easier than what I had running through my head.
Sometimes the solution is so easy.
