how do you change "joining conditions" for user groups?

On the page where members can apply to join a member group it says:

"The following groups are available for you to join"

And it lists the name of the user groups and the "joining conditions" for each user group. And the "joining conditions" say, "Anyone is free to join this usergroup."

How can I change "Anyone is free to join this usergroup" to say something else?

(I'm so sorry . . . I probably shouldn't have asked this here. . . I'm afraid the answer to this is probably terribly simple. I'm brand new to this, and I feel rather lost. *blush*)

Edit the phrase associated with it, I dont know which off hand, however there is a search function.
