TIO/FTL Compatible Ranking Ladder System LITE
![]() Developer Last Online: Sep 2013 ![]() ![]()
This ranking system is based very loosely on the Association of Tennis Professionals ATP Entry Ranking System (as apposed to their ATP Race System). What this means, is that players are ranked by the total scores of their best performances within a specified time period. Using this system solves many problems within other ranking systems; especially race systems that tend to give preference to players who attend the most tournament events. This system ensures a more accurate calculation on the relative performances of players.
With this system, a player's rank is calculated using their best scores within a specified time period. Stronger players are not penalized because they had a "bad day", and weaker players are not rewarded by attending the most events. By specifying best scores limit, a player's weakest performances will be ignored in the ranking calculations (provided that player attends enough tournaments to exceed the limit). By specifying a time period, the system will automatically weed out stale rankings and remove players who are no longer active. What is this mod? Using this system, you can put together a fully featured ranking system for your tournaments. The purpose of this system is to give users a method to calculate rankings for all manner of events, even events that exist outside the spectrum of your forums. Because of this, this mod does NOT integrate with your forum user database; if it did, people who attended your event, but are not members of your forum, would be left out and it would skew the point values for events. I love the GUI and the concept. I own a tennis board, my main problem would be scoring. Before I actually install I'm curious as to how my members can submit their score as such, 6-4 2-6 7-5 for 2 out of three set and possibly for 3 out of 5 sets (6-1 3-6 6-4 5-7 6-0) as well, on the ladder result and the bracket result.
Would this be possible? If so, then I would like to purchase your PRO version. Thanks |

I have the Forum Tournament & Ladders mod but currently I have it disabled because I needed something more in-depth. Does this add on work in conjunction with that mod? If so can someone link me to the additional features it grants you?(Pro version)

This mod is a RANKING SYSTEM... not a mod for the RUNNING of tournaments. This mod is used to calculate the RESULTS of a tournament that has already been done. Using the pro version, you can parse the results of a tournament run using the Forum Tournament & Ladders mod.
